IDEAS
Humanetrics uses the proprietary IDEAS method of teaching, presenting, and consulting. Created through many years of studying adult learners, IDEAS maximizes learning — and learning is the key to changing all behavior.
The IDEAS process:
- Instruction – new information is presented based on the needs of the learner or the company.
- Discussion – actively involves the learner to assess and challenge what they already know to engage them in the learning process and feel competent and confident.
- Experiences – adults learn by relating new information to what they already know. Our programs give learners the opportunity to relate new information to their experiences to create new connections and broader understanding.
- Activity – all programs have significant activity since adult learners must try things to become proficient. Adults remember 10% of what they hear, 60% of what they see, and 90% of what they do.
- Summary/Synthesis – all programs require the learner to summarize what was learned and identify how to use it to improve performance. This creates a measurable action plan and helps each person own their success.
