How to succeed in a period of change…(Friday)
On September 26, 2008 in Thought for the Day
Face it, we are always in a period of change; nothing stays the same. Organizations that embrace change, knowing that it can inspire continual innovation and greater performance, are well prepared for success in today’s world.
This week we look at the two ways to succeed in periods of change. First: always commit to trying new things to old issues, and second: draw from 100% of your employees in looking for solutions and ideas.
Today’s tip: Create “creativiteams” – teams specifically assembled to creatively and innnovatively address a critical issue, challenge or opportunity. Give this team total creative freedom to propose any solutions that will address the issue, challenge or opportunity in a significant and nonconventional way.
